INSPIRATION
Introducing the latest addition to our anti-war series, “NO WAR”. The stars in this design derive from the American flag and symbolize the States. The stars are falling, symbolizing the decline of each state as our rights are being eroded and human life is being devalued. The stars also represent the consequences of violence. They resemble bullet piercings, and their natural shape lends itself to a burst of impact. The colors used in the design are significant. Army green represents the military, while red reinforces violence, discomfort, and trauma. The composition and style of the custom lettering mimic the feel of military insignia, such as a sergeant badge, with consistent negative spacing and equal-weighted bars. Lastly, we wanted to achieve a neat, polished, and refined look because we appreciate beautiful things. While there’s nothing beautiful about war, there something beautiful about standing together against it.
